Moby – born Richard Melville Hall - (1965) is an American DJ, Singer-songwriter, musician and photographer from Harlem, New York. He now lives and works in Los Angeles. In the early ‘90’s he became known through his ambient electronic music, an up and coming music style. In 1999 he released the album Play, which produced 8 hit singles and made him a worldwide household name in the music scene. Moby has produced and remixed music for artists including Michael Jackson, David Bowie, Brian Eno, Guns ‘N’ Roses and many more. Over the years Moby photographed his surroundings while he toured with his music, which resulted in the 2011 photography series called Destroyed, which was released with an album under the same name.
