Exposition Murakami @ Conservatorium Hotel

3 November 2012

Famous had an exposition of Japanese artist Takashi Murakami in collaboration with the Conservatorium Hotel. It took place from 7 pm til 11 pm (at least, that was the plan) in the Tunes Bar and hall of the Conservatorium Hotel.

Murakami is known for his colourful, playful work. He is one of the founders of the Superflat style. This style is characterized by its flat colour planes and is inspired by Japanese anime and manga figures. The Japanese Neo-Pop artist has exhibited in Versailles and has designed for Louis Vuitton.

The exhibition consisted of Murakami’s multiples and special editions: 10 large lithographs from Murakami, 5 Inochi dolls and a large and smaller flowerball.

It was a very eventful night. There were lots of Murakami inspired drinks and bites involved, nice background music and a good vibe. For the ones who unfortunately have missed this amazing event, you can check out the photos below!
