Hisaji Hara Opening Exhibition March 23rd

26 March 2013

Last Saturday, 23rd of March, Galerie Alex Daniels – Reflex Amsterdam opened the new exhibition of Hisaji Hara. This is the first exhibition of Hisaji Hara in the Benelux. The exhibition, A Photographic Portrayal of the Paintings of Balthus, is inspired by the paintings of French artist Balthus. The photographs are printed with the 19th century albumen method and have a feeling of Japanese nostalgia. Hara merges digital techniques with historically established traditions. It was a huge success. The vibe was great and the photographs were very well received. If you didn’t have the chance to come to the opening, don’t hesitate to come and take a look at the beautiful photographs until the 11th of March!
