Sergei Polunin, “Take Me to Church” by Hozier, Directed by David LaChapelle

19 February 2015

Ballet dancer Sergei Polunin highlights the dark and troubled core of Hozier’s “Take Me to Church” in photographer David LaChapelle’s music video for the Grammy-nominated song.

A principal dancer with The Stanislavsky Music Theatre and the Novosibirsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre in Russia, the 25-year-old Polunin is no stranger to raw, emotional dancing. And his performance in this new video is no different. His tattoos and scars are exposed as he moves through bands of sunlight.

Polunin has been a principal dancer with the British Royal Ballet and is no stranger to Marc Jacobs ads.
